About Tim Allan — Founder, Northpoint Trading
I didn't come from money. I didn't have a mentor, a trust fund, or a shortcut.
What I had was a relentless work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the hard-won belief that financial freedom is built through structure — not luck.
Before founding Northpoint Trading, I spent years in roles that all had one thing in common: teaching people to perform at their best. As a qualified personal trainer I coached individuals through physical and mental transformation. As a college lecturer I taught young people the discipline and foundations they needed to build a future. As a business owner I built a company from the ground up — two locations, over £1.4 million in turnover at peak — and learned more about resilience, risk, and decision-making than any classroom ever taught me.
I was also a competitive cyclist at elite level, becoming a double Scottish champion — a pursuit that taught me everything about consistency, mental toughness, and what it really takes to perform when it matters.
I built a method that actually works. Not a system of signals and shortcuts, but a structured, repeatable approach rooted in price action and market structure — identifying the key price levels where markets have shown their hand before, and trading with precision and discipline from those zones. Real analysis. Real risk management. A framework you can actually understand and apply yourself.
I started Northpoint Trading because I kept seeing the same thing — people being failed by educators who sell the lifestyle instead of the knowledge. Flashy cars, hollow promises, and no real substance behind them.
